Celebrate Black History Month with Kanopy: A Boy. A Girl. A Dream. – presented by The Kansas City Library

February 20 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm CST

A Boy. A Girl. A Dream.  (2018, R)
On the night of the 2016 Presidential election, Cass, an L.A. club promoter, takes a thrilling and emotional journey with Frida, a Midwestern visitor. She challenges him to revisit his broken dreams – while he pushes her to discover hers.

Central Cinema Nights is a movie screening in the Central Library’s Durwood Film Vault taking place Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Join us as we watch and discuss documentaries and feature films in a socially conscious setting, chosen to fit a monthly theme. This month’s theme: Celebrating Black History Month with Kanopy.

Join us this Feburary as we showcase Black filmakers from our Kanopy collection.  Come in from the cold and enjoy world-class, award wining cinema from some of the brightest stars in the buisiness.  Don’t worry if you can’t make it; all these films can be streamed online with your library card.

Everyone is welcome! Movie screenings at the Central Library are always FREE and open to the public.

Screening will be in the Durwood Film Vault
