The Executive Director will work with the Board of Directors, its officers, committees and Volunteer Coordinator to manage all aspects of day to day business and planning for the Kansas City Filmmaker’s Jubilee, Inc., including its primary event, The Kansas City FilmFest in April 2014. The Executive Director will report to the Board and its officers.
Kevin’s Wilmott’s film Destination Planet Negro : “a genuinely laugh out loud, funny, and very clever spoof that, at times, approaches the manic heights of In Living Color during its heyday.”
Kansas City FilmFest Reel Spirit and UMKC are sponsoring Kansas City’s only film camp for kids this June 24-26th. Students in grades 4 through 6 may participate in the camp, which goes from 9:00am-3:00pm daily. Participants come away with an understanding of the basic tools of producing a quality video production in just three days.
Kansas City FilmFest 2013 at the Mainstreet Alamo Drafthouse was a banner year for KCFF, and we want to thank all who attended, our wonderful volunteers, and sponsors!

The Kansas City FilmFest is especially proud to present this year’s selection of documentaries: We Are Superman, Battle: Change From Within, Envisioning Home and Hit & Stay. Kansas City Mayor Sly James will give welcome remarks to the FilmFest at 6:15pm before the premiere of We Are Superman.
Thursday night, April 11 at the Kansas City FilmFest, that is. Because, however well-intentioned the term is, it is sort of disrespectful. More than just that, it doesn’t even begin to cover the events of The Kansas City Women In Television and Film (KCWIFT) Organization, on this particular night.
