KC Jubilee: @Josh C - We are currently in the process of seeking releases from the panel participants... upon securing those we will make some of the panels available via podcast. Links will appear here as well as on the Jubilee site. Thanks!
Josh C: I'm wondering if recordings of any of the panels are available? I heard something about there being recorded podcasts for some of the discussions. I'm particularly interested in the final panel discussion regarding the future of film in KC.
KC Jubilee: @Candy -- the best way is probably to hear the audience questions during Jeff Goldsmith's podcast. We don't have a date yet, but it will be available here for free: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=77837603
Candy: I was wondering what the audience's opinion of "Winter's Bone" was after the premiere 04/14/10. The critics have loved it and to take TWO awards at Sundance 2010 and sice two at The Berlin Film Festival-I think npr is correct-it is a modern day "True Grit"-a modern classic.
KC Jubilee: @Jo Johnson: It didn't unfortunately... but we really enjoyed it as well. The award winners are listed here: http://bit.ly/c2F0S6
Jo Johnson: Saw "Popppies" and thought it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. Did it win any awards?
Brent Huff: On behalf of the cast and crew of HELPLESS I would like to thank the Kansas City Film Festival for including us.
Brian Rose: Thanks again for screening my film, "James Polk." Sorry to see it didn't win any awards, but then again, I wasn't surprised. There were a lot of films way better than it. It was a first effort, and so-so at that.
But someday I'll do a film that'll REALLY raise some eyebrows.
KC Jubilee: Award winners are posted at: http://bit.ly/c2F0S6. For feedback, you can always email us: kcjub@kcjubilee.org or we should be sending out a survey soon to get feedback from both our filmmakers and the public. Thanks!
?: So which films won awards? Will that be posted? And can anyone who attended give feedback on how well the fest was attended, how it ran, etc?
Which Saturday will the films be at mmf?
No films are screening at the mmf. It is a tradition for our Saturday night party to be held there…
